Dreft

Dreft is an American brand of various cleaning products, established in 1933 by Procter & Gamble. Initially it produced only laundry detergents and in 1947, diswashing liquids were added to Dreft's product range. Dreft was the first synthetic detergent on the American market. It contained no aggressive ingredients such as bleach, making it very suitable for delicate fabrics, such as wool and silk. The name Dreft is not always used in the same way. For example, in Canada the laundry detergent is sold as Ivory Snow and the Dreft dishwashing liquid is known in the UK as Fairy, in Sweden as Yes and in Hungary as Jar.

The special, concentrated formula of Dreft dishwashing liquid makes it last much longer than your average product. Some cheaper brands rely on aggressive components to remove dirt from your dishes, which can be harmful to your hands. Dreft dishwashing liquid only contains ingredients that are safe for your hands and which don't harm your skin.s

A fun tip: blowing bubbles with Dreft dishwashing liquid!

• 2 parts lukewarm water
• ½ part sugar
• 1 part Dreft dishwashing liquid
• 1 tsp cornstarch
• Cup or bowl
• Something to stir with

Add the water and sugar to a bowl. Stir the mixture until the sugar has dissolved. Add the Dreft dishwashing liquid. Stir gently, so it does not foam too much. Then the ultimate tip: add 1 teaspoon of cornstarch to get extra strong, shiny bubbles!
